Overview

1. Definition

A Holiday Let is defined as a property located in a residential area, rented out for financial gain on a regular basis and for more than 2 months a year and to different people and advertised through any channel.

Note: if you own 3 or more properties in the same building or group of buildings these are classed as “tourist apartments”, which means you have to comply with different and more stringent regulations.

2. Requirements for registration

  • The first and more important is that the property must have a First Occupation Licence. 
  • Other requirements such as air-conditioning in all bedrooms, ventilation, linens and white goods, plus many others.

4. Obligations once your property is registered

These include: 

  • you must use the registration code in any advertisement. 
  • you must keep a written register of the names of all guests. This must be kept for 3 years in case of inspections. 

HOW TO REGISTER YOUR HOLIDAY LET
